Description
The tradition of Christmas stockings is thought to have originated in European folklore, particularly from the legend of Saint Nicholas, the 4th-century bishop known for his generosity. One popular story tells of a poor man with three daughters who couldn’t afford their dowries. Saint Nicholas heard of their plight and, during the night, secretly dropped bags of gold down the chimney, which landed in stockings that the daughters had hung by the fireplace to dry.
Thanks to Saint Nicholas we have Christmas stockings to make each year! These stunning stockings is begging to be stitched in multiple colours, reds, yellows, blues, pinks and purples will all look stunning!
