AE079 Summer Flipflops

Make your own flipflops with this set, made in your 5x7" hoop. As always, a full set of instructions are included to help you complete this project.

Stitching with leather on your embroidery machine is much easier as you think. Use
the leather that is made for upholstery with the fabric underside, this is not much thicker than denim fabric. I
stitched the shoes on my Artista 200 embroidery machine. For the soles you can use a much thicker leather with a
rough side to avoid slipping and the sole can be either stitched on or glued on if you don’t want to stitch through.
that thickness with your machine. I used the thicker leather of about 1/8 inch (with the foam backing) for the soles.
Glue as many layers of leather as you want the thickness of the sole.
I include files to make the No 5-No 6 adult size shoe as well as for the No 7 – No 8 shoe size.
All panels are done in the applique method.

Fabric Requirements: 
Water soluble Vilene, 2 layers + cotton blend fabric (about ½ meter) leather for the
upper part (about 12”x5”) leather for the sole, (24”x8”), batting, the stiff type of
about ¼ inch thick.
