Description

Summer sandals you can make on your very own embroidery machine. These are stylish and easy to make.

For the sole we sandwiched a layer of thick faux leather, thin cotton batting and a layer of canvas. The trap was done using the same canvas material.

Stitching with leather on your embroidery machine is much easier as you think. Use
the leather that is made for upholstery with the fabric underside, this is not much thicker than denim fabric.

I stitched the shoes on my Artista 200 embroidery machine. For the soles you can use a much thicker leather with a rough side to avoid slipping and the sole can be either stitched on or glued on if you don’t want to stitch through that thickness with your machine.

I used the thicker leather of about 1/8 inch (with the foam backing) for the soles.

Glue as many layers of leather as you want the thickness of the sole.
All panels are done in the applique method, except for the top sections which are freestanding lace.

Stitch out one of each of the top panels and two of the butterfly on 2 layers of water soluble, rinse and leave to dry, iron with a
warm iron when completely dry, now follow assembly instructions as usual.

Due to all the different sizes used throughout the word, here's measurements of each size included.

Size Length Width
Small 9.9"/251mm 4"/101mm
Medium 11.3"/287mm 4.6"/116mm
 Large 12.7"/322mm 5.2"/132mm
