SDS3171 My Town Play Quilt

This is a quilt you and your little one will enjoy. I had a ton of fun designing and assembling this adorable quilt. 

The process starts by planning your little town, print out these paper templates, place and shuffle them to plan your quilt. Have the little ones help you plan, it's a fun exercise to do together too! After you've figured out the layout you can start stitching and before you know it you have a complete town to assemble. 

I've done each block using felt, the stitch method used in this quilt is normal applique using satin stitches to secure each layer. Also included you'll find SVG and printable PDF's to pre-cut your pieces if that's what you prefer. However these pieces are nice and chunky making it easy to cut with the hand as well. 

I've also included two additional layouts for some inspiration ;) 

You'll need at least a 5x7" hoop to stitch this quilt, however we recommend a 6x8" so you have enough space in the hoop for the trimming. 

For fabric requirements, you'll need a base fabric (in this case I used a light green) - You'll need at least two meters of this to ensure you have enough.  The buildings don't use much, half a meter should be more than enough, however make sure to get extras incase you decide to make a few expansion on your town ;)
