SDS3159 Applique Medallion 1

Applique medallion consists of 12 pieces assembled to create this stunning work of art. A simple change of fabric colours completely transforms this magnificent design. From earthy tones that creates a relaxing and elegant atmosphere to bright vibrant colours bursting with energy and excitement.

Included in this set you'll get 4 different hoop sizes, 5x8", 6x10", 7x12" and 8x14"

We've also included SVG files should you want to pre-cut your pieces on your vinyl or laser cutter.

Finished quilt size before borders and binding:

In the files you will find 4 different sizes and if you make a block like the image on the left, the finished sizes (without borders) will be as follows:
5x8” size – 15.9” diameter
6x10” size – 19.8” diameter
7x12” size – 23.7” diameter
8x14” Size – 27.7” diameter

Fabric Requirements: 

⦁    12 Pieces of white fabric the size of your hoop
⦁    12 pieces of stabilizer (Cut away is what we used)
⦁    Scraps of fabric in 4 colours, 1 fat quarter of each will be enough

Additional:
505 Spray
Pins
Quilting rulers and rotary cutter
Paper to cut your templates if you want to pre cut or a cutting machine like a scan and cut/silhouette etc.
Thread – 1 color of your choice, I used the same color throughout.
Applique Iron on backing for all fabric pieces
Organza (optional) we used a glitter organza overlay, which gives such a stunning look and seals in any of the raw cutting edges for a permanent and neat look.  You can opt to not use that, but will rely then on the applique iron on backing to keep your fabric in place as well as the quilting, which should be fine, but over time and wash after wash might come loose in some corners and areas and start fraying, so we opt to use the organza overlay, which is a total game changer on these high detail, raw edge applique designs.
